Size Guide
All of our t-shirts are printed on the Comfort Colors 1717 Heavyweight Tee, a relaxed, unisex fit with a soft, worn-in feel straight out of the bag.
How It Fits
The 1717 runs with a relaxed, slightly oversized silhouette, think comfortable weekend tee rather than fitted. Drop shoulders, looser sleeves, and extra room through the chest and torso. Most people find it true to size, but if you prefer a more fitted look, sizing down is a great option.
Note that measurements may vary slightly, typically up to one inch in width or length due to the garment-dyeing process, as shirts are dyed after they're sewn.
Garment Measurements (laid flat)
| Size | Chest Width | Body Length | Sleeve (Center Back) |
|---|---|---|---|
| S | 18¼" | 26⅝" | 16¼" |
| M | 20¼" | 28" | 17¾" |
| L | 22" | 29⅜" | 19" |
| XL | 24" | 30¾" | 20½" |
| 2XL | 26" | 31⅝" | 21¾" |
| 3XL | 27¾" | 32½" | 23¼" |
| 4XL | 29¾" | 33½" | 24⅝" |
Chest width is measured flat across the shirt, armpit to armpit. Double this number for your full chest circumference.
How to Measure Yourself
For the most accurate fit, measure a t-shirt you already own and love:
- Lay it flat on a surface without wrinkles
- Measure straight across the chest about one inch below the armholes, this is your half-chest measurement
- Double that number to get your full chest circumference
- Compare with the chart above and choose accordingly
Still Not Sure?
When in doubt, size up, the relaxed fit of the 1717 wears beautifully slightly oversized, and knitters tend to agree that a little extra room never hurt anyone's WIP accessibility.
